This restoration project used body, suspension and specifications from an 87 IROC Z28 and compatible parts and components from a 89 Camaro RS to complete. They went ahead and snuck in a little boost in power mated with a superior transmission and supporting mods to make this a healthy sounding head turner.
Finshed in a Patriot Red exterior over black and red interior, this Camaro has a 350 cubic inch V8 that is mated to a rebuilt T56 - 6 speed manual transmission that sends power through a Posi-Trac rear end with a claimed set of 3:73 gears. Other notable improvements reported by the owner on the 350 include a 4 bolt main, hydraulic cam and lifters, 1 piece rear main seal, 4 barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake and custom headers and exhaust. A Champion radiator with B-Cool electric fans keep things cooler than your high school legacy. Fuel upgrades include electric fuel pump with bypass regulator, new fuel lines with vapor trapper pump system. 202 Cast Iron Heads (Ported), 4 wheel disc brakes with 1-LE rear axle and new bushings.
