Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is pleased to present for sale, on consignment, the ever so unique 1972 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia! The Ghia was Volkswagen's second passenger car released in 1955 after the Beetle. 1957 was the first year for the convertible. This particular 72 was purchased by the current owner from a private party 48 years ago! The odometer is reported to have rolled over once but at 127,000 miles the 1600cc engine was rebuilt and at 113,000 miles the 4 speed manual transmission was rebuilt. Tires were replaced at 152,000 miles. A list of maintenance items is available on request. The yellow exterior and black convertible top are in stellar shape as well as the black vinyl interior. The dash is free of cracks or warping. Convertibles were rare in 1972 only making up a small percentage of the total Karmann Ghia's built so there's no doubt about the collector status of the car. Features and Options include AM/FM/CD Radio, Manual Convertible Top, Chrome Hub Caps, Radial Tires, Car Cover, Seatbelts and Vinyl Interior. This car is ready for the next owner to take exceptional care of it as did the current owner. Call, text or email our sales staff to get all of the information on this car and thank you for looking!
