Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this 1969 Ford Mustang. When the 1969 Mustang was first released, auto journalists like those at Car and Driver agreed that its styling was a hit and the public agreed! The 1969 Mustang grew by 3.8 inches, all of which was in the hood or in front of its front wheels. All the extra space under the hood left plenty of room for the rebuilt 351CID Cleveland V-8 that has been upgraded with an Edelbrock 2665 Performer intake, a Holley Street Avenger 4barrel carburetor, K&N X-Stream air filter, MSD ignition, aluminum radiator with electric fan, and custom header with dual exhaust. Behind the motor sits the rebuilt C4 automatic transmission with a 2800-3000rpm stall converter with auxiliary cooler sending power through the Ford 9" rear end with 4.11 gears. The suspension has also been upgraded to handle the power with coil overs in the front with rack and pinion steering and new leaf springs in the rear and Wilwood disc brakes at all 4 corners. The cabin features front bucket seats that were redone in 2020 and a rear bench upholstered in black with patterned inserts. The interior has several aftermarket features like the custom dashboard, custom gauges, new black carpet, headliner and door panels, a Turbo Action Cheetah shifter, a custom center console with two cupholders, and a touchscreen Bluetooth Pioneer radio with Pioneer speakers in the foot wells and the rear decklid. The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts custom Autometer ProComp instrumentation consisting of a 200-mph speedometer, a 9k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, battery charge, fuel level, and coolant temperature as well as two air/fuel ratio gauges down below the dash. The odometer shows 3k miles, which is said to represent the mileage accumulated since completion of the rebuild. Calling this Mustang anything but a muscle car is an understatement. For those who thirst for raw power, this '69 certainly does not disappoint!
