Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is super excited to present "Ole Blue", this highly custom 1952 Chevrolet 3100! Newly completed in 2022, this patina-finished 3100 is a build that has taken place over the last decade & now is ready for a new garage. Power is supplied from the built 4.8 LS running through the 4L80E automatic transmission with a TCU controller, a 3000 stall and down to ground compliments of the Currie Ford 9" Posi rear end, some 3.50 gears, a 4-link rear & QA1 rear coil overs. The front suspension is a Mustang II rack & pinion and there are disc brakes all the way around. There is more than adequate power coming out of that LS & this truck is just flat fun to drive! With the displacement of all the engines in the LS family, the 4.8L is probably the closest you'll get to an "under-the-radar" LS. But that's good news for you for basic cruising, but thanks to its stout iron block, the 4.8L LS can support BIG horsepower, particularly if you're adding forced induction like a turbo or supercharger. This engine has already had some performance upgrades for sure, including a mild comp cam, a set of worked-up 706 Vortec "cathedral-port" heads with new lifters, springs valves, a Holley high rise intake & Holley EFI fuel rails, Fast Fuel valve covers, coils, and a Big Mouth LT throttle body. A serpentine belt system, some Hooker shorty headers, power steering, a Be Cool oversized aluminum radiator and a Vintage Air A/C system are a few more of the goodies located behind the super cool looking 1953 Bel Air Custom front bumper! The custom interior of this '52 is absolute beautiful, with its black vinyl & distressed leather look inserts all the way up to the insert headliner, installed by M.A.R.S. Custom Upholstery out of Louisville, KY., giving "Ole Blue" a very distinctive & high-end look inside, complete with newer Dakota Digital gauges, a custom LOKAR gear shift housing and the dash-mounted Fast EFI controller. Another one of the really nice custom touches is the fold down, "original" dash inlet that is really hiding the Vintage Air A/C controls. There is also a Bluetooth audio system with a couple 10" subs & 4 JBL speakers all hidden behind the bucket seats, just in case the sweet notes coming out of the Flowmasters is not enough! There are so many higher end touches on this build, it is almost impossible to list them all. Altman door latches, custom billet mirrors, the smoothed firewall, the bed mounted gas tank filler atop the custom fabbed fuel cell and a set of 20" bronze powder coated Detroit Steel wheels with the chrome beauty rings & center caps complete the old school, but still highly custom, look that "Ole Blue" is all about. This is one of those builds that will definitely be not be around very long.
