1990 Chevrolet Corvette

Now available in our Philly location is a 1990 Corvette C4. The Corvette has been the flagship for American sports cars since its inception in 1959. The C4 was produced from 1984 to 1996. In 1990, the L98 engine received a slight increase in power, boosting engine performance to 245 horsepower, thanks to the addition of an added air-intake speed density control system, a revised camshaft and an increased engine compression ratio. The C4 fastback coupe was the first general production Corvette to have a glass hatchback. Corvettes built in 1990 received some minor improvements over the previous model year. In an on-going effort to meet the first phase of the federal government’s “passive restraint” crash protection regulations, Chevrolet introduced a standard driver’s side airbag to its entire fleet, including the Corvette. The supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) airbag system was a first of its kind. Additionally, the Corvette’s antilock braking system was upgraded with improved yaw control that allowed for more secure handling. The newly designed 1990 Corvette interior included a revised instrument display and a completely re-designed driver and passenger side dashboard. This Corvette is in very good condition. The paint and the interior are both original. It is equipped with the removable roof panel and automatic transmission.
