A standout feature on this vehicle is the optional L-82 engine rated at 225 horsepower, thanks to a low-restriction muffler and more importantly, a 4-speed manual transmission! 1979 was the final year that a manual gearbox could be ordered with this engine, so that makes this car pretty special. In fact, less than 20% of Corvettes in 1979 were ordered with manual transmissions!
