Only four coupe versions were built, and this is one of them! Powered by a 5.7L and backed with a Hurst-shifted 6-speed manual transmission this Blackbird is a dream to drive. To balance the Blackbird’s copious power, GMMG added its C5 Corvette 4-wheel power disc brake conversion. This unique Collector Edition Trans Am was built to commemorate the Firebird’s 35-year history and was distinguished by a number of special features beginning with its unique yellow-and-black color scheme and American Racing Torque Thrust wheels. These Blackbird editions also incorporated the WS6 performance and handling package including functional air scoops, ram-air induction, low-restriction dual-outlet exhaust and a special-performance suspension. As the star of the final-year of the Firebird lineup, this Collector Edition includes the stylish black leather interior with a full roster of standard equipment including tilt steering, power windows, mirrors and locks, air conditioning, cruise control, remote keyless entry, power driver’s seat, Monsoon AM/FM/CD stereo, and T-tops. Options were limited to traction control, CD changer and Hurst short-throw shifter.
