The 1978 Corvette offered an improved interior design featuring a redesigned steering column, updated center console and a redesigned rack to store the T-Tops and free up interior space. This '78 was #143 of only 6,200 units produced - one for each Chevy dealer. It was the "Official Pace Car, 62nd Annual Indianapolis 500 Miles Race, May 28,1978" and comes with the "winged wheels" Indy Speedway logos.
