It was Chrysler Corporation's first entry in the low-priced field, which at the time was already dominated by Chevrolet and Ford. Plymouths were actually priced slightly higher than their competition, but offered all standard features such as internal expanding hydraulic brakes that the competition did not provide. Plymouths were originally sold exclusively through Chrysler dealerships, offering a low cost alternative to the upscale Chrysler brand cars. This particular Plymouth Sedan has undergone some serious surgery. A 440 C.I.D V8 was shoehorned into the engine bay and it looks right at home, plus being a factory "Six Pack" engine it has more than enough pep to get this street rod down the road. Backing the mammoth big block in this Plymouth for sale is a 727 Torq-Flite 3 speed automatic transmission with a manual valve body. A 8 3/4" rear puts the muscle to road and with a 3.55 gear, it makes for a great ride to and from car shows. The exterior of this gorgeous sedan for sale was done in a platinum ice and purple metallic paint and considering it was done 10 years ago, it still shows very nicely. The interior also shows very nice with an oatmeal tan cloth seats in the front and rear. A Cheetah pro shifter was added and it gives the inside of this '36 for sale the hotrod feel.
