Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando Florida is proud to present this Classic 1937 Chrysler Airflow. The Chrysler Airflow was introduced in 1934. The Airflow was a series of streamlined full size sedans and coupes that were some of the first cars to be designed using the help of a wind tunnel. While the Airflow was an attempt to shift automotive design, the model was largely rejected, with the public favoring more traditionally designed Chrysler models. While the Airflow was a stand-alone model, its styling was also used for the contemporary Chrysler Imperial (3rd Gen). Although all U.S. market Airflows were fitted with an inline eight engine, Canadian Airflows were available with an inline six engine. Production of the Chrysler Airflow only lasted until 1937, with Chrysler phasing out the model's radical styling. This beautiful example features the inline 8 Cylinder engine mated to a 3 Speed manual transmission. If you really want to stand out in the crowd. This is the one you want to own.
