The year 1982, the makers of the C3 decided to have the body style go out with a bang by featuring the first year of the L83 Crossfire Injection engine offered exclusively in the Corvette as a 350 cubic inch V8. The drivetrain setup also featured a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission with electronic overdrive, showing a consistent pattern that the Corvette was a sports car ahead of its time. The Corvette also features an unusual beige metallic exterior which is tastefully set off by black graphics behind the fender vents and centered on the hood.
