Legendary race driver, Dan Gurney, had a career spanning multiple racing series including Formula 1, Indy Car, and NASCAR with countless victories as well as owning his own racing team in the latter part of his life. For 2008 Saleen honored his epic career with this signature edition car. Saleen limited production to only 300 units consisting of 100 red, 100 white and 100 blue. The Dan Gurney Signature Edition has its own look with a unique body kit consisting of a duck bill rear spoiler, hood pins, and custom graphics. The interior is also decked out with leather trimmed seats with alcantara inserts. The beauty of this Gurney pony is more than skin deep with a supercharged 4.6 L V8 good for 465 HP channeled through a short throw 5 speed manual driving a 3.73 Max Grip posi-traction rear end. This translates to tested acceleration times of 4.3 seconds to 60 mph and a blazing quarter mile of 12.9 seconds at 111.3 mph. Saleen also improved the handling with a Gen-II Watts-Link rear end and 19-inch staggered Heritage Edition gray alloys. With vented 14-inch rotors this party will stop on a dime.
