They commissioned Carrol Shelby to build them Shelby GT's and then they rented them! The public called them “rent-a-racers" Slap down a credit card with a valid driver's license, sign the contract and then beat the heck out of the car all weekend and return it on Monday. Flash forward a couple of decades, ok 6 Decades and Ford again teams with Shelby to make a rumored 500 on these beauties. Packing a little more horsepower due to the Ford Racing induction system than the factory GT the big difference is the black paint with gold stripes and of course the GT-H badging.
