Due to casting limitations, the rear bumper used left and right bumper covers with a vertical seam which were only used on the 1974 model. This 1974 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by its rebuilt, numbers matching L48 350 CID V8 engine and is backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission with 30,000 miles on the rebuild. Under the hood sits the factory L48 small block Chevy that was rated at 195 horsepower and 235 ft./lbs. of torque. The 1974 Stingray equipped with this L48 195 hp small-block was capable of 0-60 in around 6.8 seconds, comparable to the 6.5 second time of the 1968 small-block rated at 300 horsepower showing proof that the 1974 Corvettes had plenty of power regardless of reduced horsepower and torque ratings over previous years.
