1968 Ford Mustang

Gateway Classic Cars is excited to consign this awesome looking 1968 Ford Mustang convertible at our Milwaukee location. Considered Lee Iacocca's dream car for the masses. Not since the Model-T has Ford seen such a successful model, selling over one million cars within two years. The first Mustang came off the assembly line in late 1964 and is still manufactured today. Officially the first Mustangs were titled as 1965 models. To date, well over 10 million Ford Mustangs have been sold. At an initial selling point of $2,368 became affordable to almost anyone who wanted to buy a car. The Mustang became known as an affordable sport coupe with room for four.

Our 1968 Ford convertible is a great example of the Mustang phenomenon Painted in classic black with matching vinyl interior and power convertible top. Factory rally wheels, raised white tires, center console and luggage rack add to the sporty appearance. The parade boot is also included for those beautiful sunny days with the top down. Under the hood is a 289 V-8 which has been upgraded with an aluminum intake manifold and dual Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetors, all attached to an automatic transmission. Comfort features such as power steering and power disc brakes make this Mustang a dream to drive. The factory A/M radio adds to the originality of this 1968 Ford Mustang convertible which can be seen at our Milwaukee showroom.
