Gateway Classic cars is excited to present this beautiful 1993 Chevrolet Corvette at our Milwaukee location. The Corvette has been an American icon for over 70 years. General Motors revealed the first Corvette dream car in 1953 at the New York Waldorf Astoria Hotel. Production of the first Corvette rolled off the assembly line in Flint Michigan on June 30,1953. Only 300 units were produced in an iconic white with red interior. All were powered by a three carb 150 horsepower “Blue Flame" inline-six engine. Not exactly the powerhouse Corvette we think of today. But not to worry, by 1955 the in- line six was gone and replaced with a V-8. By 1957 a 283 cubic inch fuel injected V-8 small block engine was put under the hood. The Corvette now produced 283 horsepower with a top speed of 132 miles per hour! General Motors now could truly call the Corvette America's sport car. By 1969 the 250,000th Corvette had rolled off the assembly line. Through Corvettes long history, the horse power has increased, the body styles have changed, technology has improved, but one thing has never changed. The Chevrolet Corvette has never lost its identity as one of America's most iconic sport car brands. Our 1993 Chevrolet Corvette is as fine an example you will find. A burgundy on burgundy color schemed 24,000 smile beauty. This gorgeous Chevy is powered by a 5.7-liter F OHV 16valve V-8 producing 300 plus horsepower engine attached to a four-speed automatic transmission ensuring a fun amount of power paired with ease of use. This Corvette is well equipped with leather seats, power windows, power locks, heated seats, power seats, keyless entry, power steering, power brakes, cruise control, Am/Fm/Cd radio and a removable top panel.
