1980 Chevrolet El Camino

Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1980 Chevrolet El Camino. Few cars in history are as identifiable as the El Camino. Over the 25 model years and 5 generations, Chevy's half truck, half car has proven to be a classic from its early days when it debuted in 1959. The El Camino was created as direct competition with Ford's Ranchero. The first El Camino was built on the Chevrolet X-frame and shared the same engine options and styling as the other big Chevy cars at the time like the Impala and Biscayne. This 5th generation mid-sized El Camino was based off the Chevrolet Malibu built from 1978-1981.

This 1980 Chevrolet El Camino is painted in two-tone 2003 Corvette "50th Anniversary Red" and Galaxy Silver. Special exterior features include Lauren Engineering Stage II ground effects, factory steel rally wheels w/ beauty rings, smooth roll pan rear bumper kit w/recessed taillights, and a Gaylord locking fiberglass hard bed cover. The gray vinyl interior has been upgraded with Procar Rally 1000XL bucket seats, a Grant four-spoke steering wheel, matching center console with cup holders, B@M floor shifter, and three-point shoulder harnesses. Comfort features include power windows, power locks, tilt wheel, 134 air conditioning, and a Kenwood Am/Fm/ cd radio w, six speakers. Under the hood of this beauty is a GM 350 V-8 attached to a 700R4 automatic transmission w/ overdrive and lockup converter. Engine features include a Comp Cam, Weiand aluminum intake, Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetor, GM finned aluminum valve covers, a Fram performance air filter w/ reusable element, and dual 2 1/2" exhaust. The suspension consists of stock style four-corner coil springs, 50/50/ front shock absorbers, and rear GM factory style air shocks. Additional features include power steering, power front disk brakes, rubber bed mat, and a California Car Cover.
