Vinyl InteriorGateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1959 Volkswagen Beetle. The original Volkswagen Beetle was manufactured until 1979 for the US market. The Beetle did live on in Mexico for another twenty-four years. The Beetle remained basically unchanged as a two-door, rear air-cooled economy car. Ferdinand Porsche developed and marketed the Beetle as the "people's car".
This 1959 Volkswagen is painted stunning burnt orange metallic. Accented with period "moon" wheel covers w/ beauty rings and wide whitewall tires. The bright chrome bumpers and dual outside mirrors make this 1959 Beetle pop. The tan vinyl interior has been nicely redone from top to bottom. Under the rear bonnet is a 1192cc four-cylinder air-cooled engine attach to a four-speed manual transmission.
