Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1924 Dodge Brothers Fast Four Touring Sedan. The Dodge Brothers was founded in 1900 making engine and chassis parts for other car companies. By 1903 the brothers Horace and John went to work at Ford for 10 years before starting their own car company Dodge Brothers in 1914. Introducing their first automobile the Dodge Model 30. In 1920 both brothers passed away from complications of the flu. The company was sold to investment bankers which manufactured and designed vehicles for the luxury car market. This 1924 Fast Four Touring Sedan was designed to hold five passengers in comfort and reach a top speed of 50 miles per hour. Ahead of its time, Dodge was the first mass produced car to offer "self-starting" and twelve-volt electrical systems.
This 1924 Dodge Fast Four Touring Sedan is painted with a striking burgundy body accented with black fenders and a black vinyl top. The period wood wheels are reflective of a time gone by. The black vinyl interior is impressively roomier than the Ford Model T. The car comes with two sets of side curtains to keep out the elements. (One original set and a newer set of curtains that have never been used.) Under the hood of this beauty is a 212.5ci four-cylinder engine attached to a manual three-speed transmission. This 1924 Dodge Brothers Fast Four Touring Sedan looks to have retained its original front badge and Dodge Brothers Moto Meter.
