For sale in our Milwaukee Showroom is a beautiful 1976 Chevrolet Corvette. 1976 was the American Bicentennial and also when the Apple Computer Company was founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, and this Corvette embodies both of those American historical events. There is almost nothing more American than roaring down the road in a powerful 350 CID V8 with a 4-speed manual transmission, except maybe the American spirit for invention and innovation, which Apple is known for.
The 1970s saw great changes to American automotive manufacturing, as a new focus on emissions, air quality, and safety standards posed a problem for the engineers across the country. Chevrolet took the challenge head on and their Corvettes continued record sales despite the increased red tape and government oversight. The owner of this Corvette continued where they left off and bored out the engine to get a 10:1 compression ratio and also installed a stroker cam, headers, tires, shocks, radiator, and brakes.
As for the appearance, the vehicle was repainted in its beautiful black paint job in 2005 and the entire red upholstery was redone to maintain the stunning factory look of black on red, which is incredibly sought after. The vehicle is also incredibly comfortable to drive, as it comes with AM/FM Radio, CD player, air conditioning, power brakes and steering, power windows, and a tilt/telescopic wheel. This truly is one special Corvette.
This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this 1976 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail, including HD pictures and HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com.
