1972 Ford Mustang

With just under 4,000 miles on this restoration, this 1972 Mustang Mach 1 greatly resembles the way it looked straight from the factory nearly 45 years earlier. The restoration on the body started by stripping it down to bare metal and massaging it back to originality without using any filler. Once the metal work was completed, the surface was prepped for the spectacular blue paint job to be laid atop for a sleek finish. Going into the freshly painted engine bay was a professionally rebuilt 351 Cleveland and FMX automatic transmission followed by a rebuilt driveshaft and Ford 9” rear end with 3.75 gears. The suspension components were all replaced giving the driver a sense of control with precise more handling ability. The braking system was made new again by replacing all aspects and even improving the stock system by adding front discs. The fuel system had the same treatment with a new fuel tank going in and replacement of all of the lines. Bringing everything together was the reconditioned wiring harness and connections and upgraded electronic ignition helping to make this the excellent driver that it is today. Fire it up and listen to the sweet tone coming from the new headers, through the Flowmaster exhaust, and right out the rear of the car. As you are driving the car though, the exhaust tone is subtle as there was a layer of Dynamat installed underneath the new interior blocking unwanted road noise and any drone that may come from a louder exhaust system. The sound deadening also helps increase the sound quality of the Retrosound system so you can listen to your favorite tunes while you cruise. This Mustang Mach 1 is ready to burn up some back roads and win some first place trophies while doing it. This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom.
