Gateway Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1973 Chevrolet Corvette convertible in the Milwaukee Showroom. Ever since the model debut in 1953 the Corvette has been regarded as the standard of high-end American made sports car created to obliterate all competition in its class.
The C3 Platform arrived in 1968 sharing a frame and chassis with the previous C2 but now offered improved aerodynamics and better handling with less body roll. This body style flaunted aggressive lines that attracted a great audience that attributed to a 14-year run up to 1982 before having a manufacturing gap in 1983 where no Corvettes were made until 1984 with the debut of the C4 body style.
This hot cherry red exterior backs up the performance-oriented heritage that the Corvette represents. This aggressive color has been enhanced by a body kit on the front that adds an air dam of sorts in the front as well as covers that eliminates the original vacuum actuated headlight covers. Under the clear covers is an LED conversion done to all 4 headlight housings to give the modern touch and performance of lighting over the lackluster sealed halogens that the car came with.
To cap off the enhanced look of the car, the tail end of the Vette’ has been updated with a rear clip from a Corvette of the later 70’s that included a “duck-bill” style spoiler to make this truly look like the sports car that it is. The taillights have also been converted to LED to which the reverse portion of the original housings have been eliminated giving this an even cleaner look overall.
Under the hood lies a 350 cubic inch L48 V8 that comes with plenty of power from the factory to push this eye-catching beauty along on an exhilarating performance ride that makes every cruise an absolute pleasure. The automatic 3-speed transmission helps make this thrill ride a little easier to add to comfort.
The Corvette features an aftermarket single din stereo with Bluetooth, radial tires, leather interior, hub caps, seatbelts, power brakes, power steering, power windows, and a soft convertible top to let the elements in on weather permitting beautiful days to add to the driving experience.
There’s never a better time to find yourself in the seat of a beautiful sports car like this so don’t miss out on this opportunity!
