Built by Plymouth as a lower priced, basic trim model muscle car. The first- generation Roadrunner was manufactured from 1968-1970. In 1970, updates included a new look for both the front and rear end, grille, hood, front fenders and quarter panels. “High Impact" colors such as Vitamin C, In-Violet and Moulin Rouge were introduced. Approximately 41.000 units were produced in 1970.
This 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner is the epitome of the muscle car era. Painted in classic Vitamin C orange with a black bucket seat interior. Super Bee striping and badging gives this Plymouth an iconic look back in time. Under the hood of monster is a 496 CID big block V-8 attached to a three-speed automatic transmission. A 3.73 rear end handles all the power to the rear wheels. A built engine that is producing over 550 HP! Recent additions include a Borgeson 14:1 ratio steering box, new wiring harness, new electric firewall manifold, upgraded 150- amp alternator, new high temp ceramic spark plugs, Holley Sniper EFI system, Sniper Hyper Spark ignition system, new ignition coil, new ignition box and Hyperspark distributor have been installed. Power steering, power front disk brakes, posi traction and an AM/FM/ Blue tooth radio add to the driving experience in this 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner.
