This 1978 Chevrolet Corvette L82 4 speed car is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1978 marked the 25th year for America's supercar. A fresh designed body was rolled out with new "fastback" styling compliments of the wrap around rear window. Though behind the seat space was added it was no longer a hatchback. The small block 350 was still the only available engine but was offered in a couple different trims with the most powerful being the L82. This particular L82 Vette has lived a rather pampered life being owned by the same person since 1983. With the car having less than 57000 miles and only 17000 miles since 1983 this all original black beauty is sure to be a great addition to any ones collection. The all original paint is great condition considering it's almost 40 years old and with the original red pin striping to break up some of the black it truly is a great looking car. The rims are in excellent condition and shine nicely which are hard to find on this style Vette. The brakes are 4 wheel disks and have recently been replaced from front to back including all new lines. They definitely stop this super rare 78 very nicely. I say super rare since there were less than 4000 4 speed cars made in 78 making up less than 10% of the total output. Consider as well that most L82 cars were pace car editions and this one being a non pace car only adds to the rarity of this sought after model of Corvette. Swing the hood forward and you will see an all stock motor that has been well maintained and it definitely shows. The black air cleaner looks good and is absolutely the way it left the factory in 78. The T tops are in great condition and seal nice and tight with no signs of leaks. Open the door and the black interior shows exceptionally well with the bucket seats having a cloth middle accented by a vinyl outer it is exactly the way it came off the assembly line. If you are wanting a rather rare and what most would consider a highly collectible car this should fit the bill nicely.
