This 1966 Ford Mustang is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1966 continued the domination of the market that was created by the Mustang. No one else had a pony car and Ford recognized this and ran with it. Going with the “if it’s not broke don't fix it†attitude minor exterior changes were performed to the grill and rear fender. The grill now had a "floating" pony with the rear fender having three chrome trim pieces that led into the simulated air scoops. This little pony is the true definition of a muscle car with no unnecessary options just great boy and a powerful V8 motor which is exactly what the owner wanted. Starting with a simple C code 66 it would evolve in to a straight up ground pounding sleeper. The body was in good condition and with a lot of buffing and cleaning the green paint came back nicely. Many of the trim pieces were replaced giving the exterior a great finished look. Pop the hood and you will see where the majority of the attention was spent. Starting with a Ford Racing 302 block the owner took it to a local shop and the process began. Starting with a larger cam the next decision was what intake. The owner left the decision in the hands of a very talented local builder and by the time he got done with it a monster was born. The 4barrel feeds the 302 with plenty of fuel while the headers give it a great throaty exhaust note. When everything was said and done the little pony had became a galloping stallion with a believed to be 400+ HP engine under the hood. The interior as with the exterior is in excellent shape having the center console mounted automatic shifter separating the two vinyl covered buckets. The period correct wheels look great with the matching white wall radials giving you modern day performance. This little pony s a great car with a ton of receipts including the full engine build. With it only having a mere 6000 miles on it you are sure to have many memories t com ion this sleeper of a pony car. Options on this 1966 Ford Mustang include; Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, and Rally Wheels wrapped with Radial Tires.
