Vinyl InteriorThis 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ram Rod is located in our Louisville KY showroom. What are those funny things under the bumper? Air scoops, that's what! Technically, the W-31 was only built in 1969 and 1970. While not called a W-31, the equivalent vehicle was available and called the "Ram Rod 350" in 1968. The Oldsmobile History Center states that only 30 Cutlass Holiday Coupes were produced with the Ram Rod (W-31) package. This Ram Rod Cutlass was produced in February 1968 at the Lansing Michigan Assembly plant. Originally Saffron Yellow from the factory, the owner decided this car would look much better in a Deep Gloss Black. I have to agree with him. The original numbers matching engine has been completely rebuilt. The cam is a bit different now and allows for the addition of power brakes. While the engine sports a new aluminum intake and a set of long tubes headers, the cast intake/exhaust manifolds are stored away in the trunk just in case somebody wants to put them back on. The transmission and rear end are also original to the car. They have been gone through as well. The frame to this rare Street Machine can even be verified as original, the numbers are clearly visible on the frame rail. While this car is rare, the owner built it to drive and has enjoyed it for the last decade. This Ram Rod 350 Cutlass comes with receipts and documentation of its history.
