Lincoln re-introduced the Mark III in the middle of 1968, and it was a huge success. The current Mark III you see before you, has been treated to a complete frame-off restoration, a little over 5 years ago. The big 460 CID engine was completely rebuilt, and now has more power than when it 1st came out. The suspension, exhaust, paint (base coat/clear coat), vinyl top, interior, carpet, and even the trunk lining are new. The stainless steel trim and the chrome work are new as well. The air conditioning is new and has been converted to 134a.
