The 1980’s showed a transformation in the car world with what was only 15 years prior felt like ancient history. No longer did big high horsepower cars rule the road instead it was all about economy and MPG’s. Then in 1983 OLDS comes out with Hurst/Olds package which was an instant classic. Its box styling, V8 power and rear wheel drive was what people were wanting. Unfortunately, the car was only made 2 years making them highly collectible today. This beauty is a clean all original car that has been well maintained over the years and even retains its original paint. The t tops are in terrific condition with no visible leaks known but the car has never been in the rain. The wheels are original and give the car that classic look and feel. The whole thing about this edition is the “lightning rod” shifter, a concept that has not been put into another factory since. Mounted in the center console is three rods with the first being for your normal, drop it in drive, everyday commute. The other two are for a more exhilarating experience by acting like a slap shift. A simple hit of the right shifter puts you firmly into second gear while the middle rod will put you into third. With the original burgundy interior showing no signs of serious wear, this is truly a collector’s dream.
