This 1974 numbers matching L82 Chevrolet Corvette is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The C3 or third generation Corvette was one of the longest running run of vehicles ever released. Starting production in 1968 it did not end until 1984 making its 16 year run the longest of any Corvette by far. Though remembered as the "performance" Corvette the limited production ZL1 of 69 is still one of the fastest Vettes produced laying down a staggering 12 second 1/4 mile time. They are however remembered for being one of the greatest looking Vette's of all time. With its classic bulging fender wells and low slung roof line there was not much not to like about the C3's styling. This 74 is a great example of why people have turned to the later model C3's, a great looking car for not a lot of money. The body is in excellent condition and with it only believed to have less than 60000 original miles it should be. The Burgundy paint looks nice and allows you to have a red Corvette without being a total police magnet. The 3rd and current owner bought the car in 2011 and began freshening it up. A new gas tank along with a fuel pump were installed ensuring proper flow to the numbers matching L82 350 small block under the hood. Putting out a healthy 250 HP, this two seater gets up and moves down the road. The chrome breather and valve covers are a nice look and cleaned up under the hood nicely. The brand new vintage air compressor really looks good under there. With a complete and fresh AC system, staying cool in this hot car is as simple as a flip of the switch. The T -Tops is classic Corvette giving you a convertible feel with a hard top look. The interior is in great shape with its bucket seats being comfortable there is plenty of spring left. The 4 speed shifter sits in perfect position mounted cleanly in the center console. All the fun is in the go but being able to stop is nice as well making it a pleasure to wheel this car. With all brake hardware replaced this beauty comes down to a screeching stop quite nicely.
