This absolutely stunning 1965 Ford Fastback Mustang is for sale in our Louisville Kentucky Showroom. The Fastback Mustang only has 5000 miles since the restoration in 2003. Starting life originally as a Gold 6 cylinder Mustang, this little pony has come a long way. Deciding to give this Fastback more of an iconic “Bullitt” look, the Mustang was repainted in a deep Emerald Green (Volvo #47748). Sure, it’s not exactly Dark Highland Green, but the 1st thing everybody says is “it reminds me of that movie Steve McQueen was in”. The metallic in the paint really gleams when the sun hits it A Toploader 4-speed manual transmission adds to the fun factor, as you shift through the gears! The original T-Code inline six wasn’t going to be enough muscle, so a 351W engine has taken its place. The 351W comes equipped with 4 barrel carburetor, headers and Flowmaster mufflers to give good performance with a healthy sound. The American Torque Thrust wheels finish the “Bullitt” look and are wrapped in radials tires. Steve McQueen like burnouts are just a pedal push away! With the extra muscle under the hood, the brake has been upgraded with a power disc brake system. The black interior looks to be very good shape. You will look cool driving this Pony anywhere you want to go! If you are a sharp looking, solid running early Mustang, that will turn heads wherever you go, then look no further! The current owner bought the car just as it sets, he states that it runs and drives great getting looks everywhere he goes. This one is ready for the road; it just needs a new driver!
