1979 Chevrolet Corvette

This 1979 Chevrolet Corvette T Top is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The C3 or third rendition of the Corvette was the longest running style of any Corvette. Starting in 68 and the last one rolling off the line in 82 the C3 ran almost twice as long as any other Corvette. Many consider this style the sleekest and most iconic corvette of all time. With its long swooping nose and the fenders bulging out they look like they are ready to attack just sitting there. This black 79 is a great example of what an affordable Corvette can be. With the car only having just a little over 57k miles this C3 still has a ton of life left. Pop the hood and in classic Corvette fashion tilt it forward and the original 350 small block sets nestled perfectly between the frame rails. The Holley valve covers add a little something different to this small block. The owner felt the original carb was doing this small block a great injustice so he swapped it out for a 4 barrel Holley. The carb seems to have really waked this vette up giving it a lot more low end punch while maintaining its midrange power. A good running motor is nice especially when you can hear it. Having that said a new stainless steel exhaust was installed which not only sounds great but looks good while doing it. The TH350 Trans shifts nice and smooth with very firm up shifts giving it a great feel. Open the door and the cream interior looks great with the black giving it that extra pop. With no signs of wear on the seats this 79's interior is in great condition. The best part of it all you can kick the AC on since the compressor was just replaced you should have no problems staying cool in this hot Vette.
