How about this historic Lincoln? Coming out of the The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in 2001 and into a new story, with a new owner. Over the last 21 years, this Lincoln Continental has seen some of Kansas City's biggest celebrities during our city's parades. Being the parade ride of choice for figures like Kansas City Royals Hall of Famer Frank White, MLB Hall of Famer George Brett, Former Mayors of Kansas City and more! These Continentals are known for their massive 12 Cylinder engines, however, in pursuit of reliability, a Chevrolet Small Block (350 Cubic Inch) V8 found a home in the engine bay. A "Three on the Tree" manual transmission still fits snug behind the Chevrolet engine. Features not common in the 1940's were power windows, button-activated door actuators, a power convertible top and this Lincoln Continental has all of that! Not just anyone could afford a Lincoln in 1948, as these cars were around $5,000 in a time most automobiles were around $1,000. American Luxury is different nowadays, don't let this piece of Lincoln history pass you by!
