Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this very nice 1977 Chevrolet Corvette. The 1977 Corvette offered an improved interior design featuring a redesigned steering column, updated center console and a redesigned rack to store the T-Tops and free up interior space. The new design was a hit and Chevrolet sold 49,213 Corvettes in '77. The C3 generation of Corvette is now starting to gain more traction with collectors’ due to their availability and relative ease of restoration. Of course, the C1 and C2 will always be at the top of the food chain in the Corvette world but this has also propelled their cost into the realm of elite collectibles. For those looking for great entry level collector Vette's that won’t break the bank the C3 is the obvious choice. This one show in a very nice Olympic white paint that is fresh and shows very well. It has some vinyl carbon fiber stripes on the hood with red pin stripes that really make the car stand out and give it some edge. The glossy paint finish looks great and is bright & bold, especially when contrasting against those sweet classic chrome Cragar wheels. The Cragar wheels are in great condition and are wrapped in new BF Goodrich tires. The exterior trim, bumpers, & emblems are all in great shape. This Vette is powered by a 350 CID V8 that has been stroked to a 383 CID with some goodies inside like a mild camshaft upgrade. The chassis of the car has 93k miles per the owner. Paired with the newly-rebuilt V8 is a GM TH350 3-speed automatic transmission with a manual valve body twisting 3.55:1 gears in the rear. The transmission is also freshly rebuilt with about 400 miles on both drive train components. Looking at the interior you will see a color scheme matched white on white. The white door panels & dash look really great against the black carpet & two-tone vinyl seats. The interior is very nice and the color combo really sets this one apart from the others. You probably won’t see too many with this combination. Just look how clean the engine bay is on this car and that will tell you the care the owner has taken of it. The car also has 4-wheel disc brakes & a new 2.5-inch stainless steel exhaust. Its owner has recently replaced the radiator with a new 4-core unit; replaced A-arm, control arm, and suspension bushings; new ball joints, rear trailing arms, all new brakes, new electric cooling fan, new electric fuel pump, new 3.55:1 ring and pinion gears, new interior carpet, seat belts, and installed new windows in both doors. He has also installed a new brake booster and master cylinder, new tires and rims, new power steering pump, a new (remanufactured) alternator, new A/C control switch, new U-joints, new door and T-top seals, new headlights and diaphragm canisters, new trans cooler, an additional spark attenuator to reduce spark noise through the radio, new radio and speakers. It also has new shocks, new rear half-shafts (also with new U-joints), and a complete 4-wheel alignment. This car is completely rust free and shows extremely well. The later model C3 Corvettes are coming up in value so this is the right time to invest and pick up an appreciating asset. Give us a call today for more information about this beautiful car.
