The 427 is a CE block with 1971 heads, intake, and exhaust manifolds, and was rebuilt in 2008 by Tim's Engines. The Muncie 4-speed is a remanufactured unit that was installed in 2016; so both the engine and transmission are very fresh. Twist the key, and the big 427 fires to life, spitting the spent hydrocarbons out the side pipe exhaust with a nasty snarl. Once it settles into its lopey idle and its pilot takes control of things, the view over the top of that L-88 hood becomes so intoxicating that one may not be able stop driving it until it's time to fill the tank.
