Gateway Classic Cars Houston is proud to present this beautifully restored and rare Volkswagen Single Cab Pickup. This pickup has been nicknamed Pearl. Pearl has been loved and cherished for years! You can see why it was named that with its Volkswagen L87 Pearl White paint that utilizes the PPG Concept single-stage system.

**We have a full build sheet for this car on hand**

The VW has a Volkswagen Type 1/Type 2 upright 2017cc flat 4 engine which produces WAY more power than it ever did when it was stock. It was built by Dave Gregor of Vintage auto out of Scottsville, NY. Exact mileage after the rebuild is estimated at less than 1k since its installation. It is paired to a 4-speed manual that is found is mostly all VW’s of this era. It shifts smooth and is very reliable. It is also believed to be rebuilt. It has CB Performance Super Race rods, Eagle Racing cam, Bosch ignition, Dual Weber carbs, headers and a ton more. The electrical system has been updated with a new wiring harness, 12 volt and new alternator.

The well-matched interior is stock VW and installed by Vintage Auto. It sits on a set of fully restores stock Volkswagen Transporter 15” wheels with OEM hubcaps and Michelin radials at 205/65R15 all the way around.

The beautiful stance this car has is in part to do with the suspension. The front has been lowered 3.5” with a spindle suspension kit – 3” in the rear. Complete with 1971 VW Type 2 4-wheel VW disc brakes in the front & rear with VW caliper, modified by Wagens West. In the rear, it has a Pro-Street IRS done by Wagens West with KYB shocks on all 4 corners, 3.88:1 ring and pinion diff, billet aluminum side cover, hardened keys, EMPI performance CV joints and axles, Kennedy 200mm 1700lb pressure plate with 200mm super-disc.

The list is endless with this Pickup. With only 58,794 miles from new it has been barely driven. This Volkswagen is a piece of history that is both a head turner, functional and beautiful. Don’t miss this opportunity to own this charming classic. Contact our friendly staff in the Houston showroom for more information at (832) 243-6220 or emailing
