Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is excited to present this stout Silver Ice Metallic 2015 Chevrolet SS. For the uninitiated, the Chevy SS is a rebadged Holden Commodore, built by GM's Holden subsidiary in Australia. Only about 13000 were brought to the US, and of those, fewer than 2700 were equipped with the manual transmission. This one has some special attributes that help it up the ante vs. the rest of those that you might find out in the wild. For starters, it's a one owner car, and its owner wasn't satisfied with its already prodigious performance. In 2016, he had Houston House of Power (HHP) install their LS3 cam/heads/intake and exhaust package, coupled with a tune. That was enough for about 18 months, but in November 2017, he decided it needed more "oomph", so back to HHP it went. That trip resulted in the installation of its 2.9L Whipple Supercharger, 10-rib pulleys, HHP's E85 FlexFuel kit, and a new tune. That was nice for about 10 months, but hey, let's bump it some more! In July 2018, it went back to HHP, and this time, a Late Model Engines 416 CID stroker shortblock was swapped in for the original LS3 block. Once everything was bolted back together, HHP put another tune on it, of course. The current E85 tune, with the Whipple pushing 12lbs of boost, has it putting down 787.53 HP/662.17 TQ at the wheels. Considering that's with high flow catalytic converters, this beast is capable of much more with the wick turned up and an open exhaust. The beauty of the build, thanks to its cats and quiet mufflers, along with its stock looks, is that no one will know you're about to humiliate them until you do. Thanks to its meaty 285/35R19 Mickey Thompson ET Street drag radials out back, this thing hooks up and launches hard, and its 4-piston Brembo calipers at each corner will haul it down from triple digits in record time. The 2015 Chevrolet SS Sedan is also packed with a host of features designed to enhance your comfort, safety, and driving experience. It comes with a full size spare tire (instead of the inflator kit), air conditioning, cruise control, MagnaRide suspension, power mirrors, power windows, power locks, and rear defogger. The black and charcoal Alcantara-trimmed leather seating adds a touch of luxury, while the heated front seats with lumbar support ensure your comfort during long drives. For your entertainment, the car is equipped with an AM/FM radio and a CD player. It also features a GPS navigation system. Additional amenities include power anti-lock disc brakes, an anti-theft system, and multi-mode traction and ride control. The car is equipped with driver, passenger, and rear airbags, as well as seatbelts for all passengers. This is a rare car, with a health dose of extra lagniappe on top.
