For sale in the Houston showroom is one of meanest Mopars created, the 1971 Plymouth Barracuda. The Plymouth Barracuda is a two-door car that was manufactured by Plymouth from the 1964 to 1974 model years. The 1970 to 1974 E-body Barracuda, no longer Valiant-based, was available as a coupe and a convertible, both of which were very different from the previous models. The final model year for the Barracuda was 1974. The redesign for the 1970 Barracuda removed all its previous commonality with the Valiant. The Barracuda was changed slightly for 1971, with a new grille and taillights, seat, and trim differences. This would be the only year that the Barracuda would have four headlights, and also the only year of the fender "gills" on the 'Cuda model. The new version of the 'Cuda was based on the Formula S option and was available with either the 340, 383 and, new for 1969, the 440 Super Commando V8 along with its lesser cubic inch brother, the 426ci HEMI. This one being powered by its numbers matching 340 ci engine. Backing the rev happy powerhouse is a TorqFlite 727 3 speed automatic transmission. A Dana trak-lok rear end puts the power to the pavements and ensures maximum usage of your launches. Lathered up in black with black interior this Cuda is the rear deal and is bad to bone! Options on this amazing Mopar include: Am/fm radio, power brakes, power steering, vinyl seats, seat belts, numbers are matching and rally wheels wrapped in radial tires.
