Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is excited to present this awesome white 1967 Plymouth GTX for sale. The GTX was based on Plymouth's Belvedere and was sometimes referred to as "the gentleman's muscle car", because it received upgraded "luxury" features vs. the plain Belvedere or Road Runner. This GTX is painted in its original White (WW1) and features Premium Trim Grade red Vinyl Bucket Seats (P6R), Center console (a6), Rear Arm Rest w/Ashtray, and Dark Red Metallic Racing stripes (Q). If having the full decoding of the fender tag is important, give us a ring and we can email it to you. There are only a few upgrades/updates to this car vs. its original configuration, but each is beneficial. Although this is a numbers matching GTX, the big 440 CID V8 has been upgraded with aluminum heads and intake, deep sump oil pan, and Holley 650CFM 4BBL carb. It also has a huge Champion aluminum radiator, custom high-rise aluminum valve covers, wrapped long-tube headers, and dual exhaust with electric cutouts. Out behind its original 727 TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission is an 8.75" rear end, complete with original ratio 3.23:1 gears and limited slip differential. Based on the "u1" code in the "abc OPTIONS" on the fender tag, this car was built to order, so it may be that this GTX is optioned with a unique set of options; but the rear disc brake upgrade is a very desirable upgrade from the original drum brakes out back. The white paint looks great in the sun, and the chrome trim gleams brightly. Inside, Dynamat noise shielding has been installed under the carpet, and the red seats, console, carpet, and trim are in very good shape. The red interior provides a very nice contrast to the white exterior. To help keep tabs on things underhood, a dual gauge cluster for coolant temp and oil pressure have been added to augment the warning lights for those who prefer to be able to monitor things as opposed to waiting to see that it's too late to take preventive action. This classic GTX rides on BF Goodrich Radial T/As wrapped around its vintage chromed wheels. Additional features and options on this gorgeous 1967 Plymouth GTX include Air Conditioning, AM/FM/CD Radio, 4 Wheel Power Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seatbelts, Spare Tire and Jack, and Vinyl Interior.
