Although the Carfax will look like this is a 3-owner vehicle, it's really only had two - this car is so good that the original owner couldn't bear to be without it, so he snatched it back and made it better than it was before. This Z06 features a 416 CID LS3 engine that was built and dynoed by Leighton's Garage. With forged internals including a Callies crank, ARP fasteners, Manley pistons, and a custom ground camshaft (236/240 duration, .600/.570 lift, 112-degree LSA), plus AFR 225cc heads with 62cc chamber volume, this stroked LS3 is sporting an 11.2:1 compression ratio (calculated). This Z06 subsequently dynoed at 517 HP and 471 lb/ft torque at the wheels. The 6-speed manual transmission has been fitted with an L.A. Performance Division ("LAPD") twin-disc clutch to ensure complete and seamless power transfer to the rear end and its 3.42:1 gears. Additional performance mods include some custom body work, with a Tigershark front fascia and a fiberglass GM prototype rear spoiler, and new CM torque tube (and torque tube structure plate), all new brake lines, pads and fluid, all other fluids flushed and replaced with Amsoil products, and upgraded exhaust with KOOKS 1 7/8" long tube headers. With only about 2000 miles on the drivetrain updates, this Z06 is ready to rock on...and on! This Z06 rides on a set of polished HRE wheels, which are shod with some super sticky P275/30ZR19 Michelin Pilot Super Sports up front, and P305/30ZR20 Pirelli P-ZERO “meats" out back. Slotted and cross-drilled brake rotors help the OEM Corvette multi-piston calipers get some extra bite due to their effectiveness at clearing the off-gassing between the pads and rotors. This Z06 has a few less noticeable (but beneficial) enhancements going as well. Starting with a custom double-DIN installation of the Kenwood DNX6190HD head unit with DVD/NAV/CD/AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth head unit, shaved antenna at the rear quarter, LED bulbs in key locations, chrome gauge trim rings in the gauge cluster, new HUD cluster, and freshened up outer bolster on the driver's seat (new leather).
