This '85 SVO is technically a "1985.5", which means it's equipped with the flush-mount headlights and the higher output of 205HP (both of which were introduced mid-year in 1985's production run of the SVO Mustang), vs. the early 1985 units' recessed headlights and only 175HP. According to its Marti report (which comes with the car), only 439 SVO Version A's were produced, 37 of those were painted Medium Canyon Red (2A), 19 of those had the charcoal cloth articulated sport seats, and 18 of those came with AM/FM/Cassette Search Stereo Radios. This is one of those 18. However, you'll notice that the seats have been recovered in leather, and the head unit has been replaced with an AM/FM/CD unit.

Powered by its original 2.3L Turbo inline 4 cylinder, with its original 5-speed manual transmission, it this has seen quite a few updates within the last 8K miles. For example:

* Transmission rebuilt, new clutch

* New Ford Racing Aluminum Driveshaft

* New A/C - converted to R134, and blows cold

* New 8.8 rear end with upgraded Moser axles

* Numerous suspension upgrades: new Koni shocks and struts at all 4 corners, new H&R springs, new bushings, SN95 control arms, rear lower control arms, sway bars, tubular front bracing, subframe connectors, inner/outer tie rods, caster/camber plates (most of which are from Maximum Motorsports)

* Brake system upgrades: new calipers, rotors, pads, brake booster, master cylinder, braided stainless steel lines

* New Alternator

* New cooling system (performance radiator, hoses, thermostat, water pump)

The engine has been upgraded as follows: Huber-tuned engine, big valve head, roller cam and rockers, ported exhaust, new vane meter, air intake system, LA3, 35lb injectors, brand new Aeromotive adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Brand new Bosch 044 external fuel pump. To go with those upgrades, the car has been treated to more new tuning-related items, such as:

* New spark plugs, spark plug wires, oxygen sensor, PCV valve, temp sensor, knock sensor, and fuel lines

* New distributor cap, rotor, and new plug wires

* New timing belt, drive belts

* New catalytic converter, 3" downpipe, 2.5" dual exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers

* Wiring harness redone to ensure all important sensors are working as they should
