Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to present this beautiful 1966 Ford Mustang. This beauty was part of the Rick Smith Collection and very well maintained over the years. A combination of iconic pony-car looks, eye-catching Poppy Red paint and well-chosen performance upgrades injects added appeal into this classic 1966 Mustang hardtop.

Under the hood is a 289 CI small-block V-8 enhanced with a 4-barrel carburetor on an aluminum intake manifold, open-element air cleaner, Ford Motorsport valve covers, Be Cool aluminum radiator and tubular headers backed by a dual-exhaust system ending in chrome tips. Shifting is handled through a desirable 4-speed manual transmission. This car is without doubt a blast to drive. This Mustang is also equipped with front disc brakes, Shelby-style export brace, engine compartment Monte Carlo bar and a chrome driver's-side mirror.

Externally, the appearance is all vintage, including the rakish stance over American Racing Torque Thrust wheels wrapped with modern BF Goodrich radial tires. The Poppy red paint shows very well, and all the chrome trim shines like new.

Inside, the black interior sports stock bucket seats, a Hurst shifter, Grant GT steering wheel, column-mounted tachometer, Kenwood cassette stereo and aftermarket Auto Meter gauges in the factory 5-dial instrument cluster.
