Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this beautiful Silver Birch 2004 Mercury Marauder for sale in our Houston showroom. This is one of those rare birds in the used specialty vehicle market - one owner, with detailed documentation of maintenance, receipts, original everything. Garage-kept since new, this Marauder was never "marauded in" - the owner's pride and joy since new, it has been lovingly kept in near-new condition. The 2004 Marauder is the final run in the third use of the Marauder moniker, which only ran for the 2003-2004 model years. Initially only offered in the sinister blacked-out version (which most are familiar with), Mercury added a dark blue version (2003 only), and the Silver Birch and Dark Toreador Red (with the red only available in 2004). Mercury only produced 3214 Marauders in 2004, with 1237 of them in the ubiquitous black, just 997 in Silver Birch, and 980 in the Dark Toreador Red for 2004.

From Ford Performance's site: "In the hopes of expanding the Marauder's appeal in 2004, Mercury offered more standard features and expanded color availability for its big performance sedan. Traction control and Ford's Audiophile entertainment system were now included on Marauder, and improved shift response was delivered with an upgrade to Ford's 4R75W four-speed automatic transmission. While it never quite reached the cult status of the 1994-96 Chevrolet Impala SS, the Mercury Marauder retains a passionate club following. It remains a purely American expression of performance that handles winding roads fast like few big sedans can - even the Impala SS."

This is a rare bird indeed and is about as fully-optioned as you can find. Here is the list of stats and equipment:

As you can see, this Marauder has everything you're looking for in a "Hot Rod Lincoln", plus more. And, with only 73.8K miles on it, there's plenty of life left in the very well-maintained drivetrain. The body looks like new, and the interior looks hardly used. If you want to stand out from the crowd, this isn't the car for you - but if you want to stand out to the aficionados who really know cars - those folks who know what a Marauder is, and is capable of, then this is definitely the car for you. Don't drool too long, snag it before someone else nabs this gem from you.
