1969 Plymouth Road Runner

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer up this very nicely restored and documented 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner. Between the eye-catching orange paint and the powerful engine, this beauty is sure to please.

Under the Air Grabber equipped hood of this beauty is the original 383 CID V8 engine. this engine runs very strong thanks to a rebuild roughly 2,000 miles ago. The heads of the engine were also replaced with ones that can stand up to the harder wear and tear that unleaded gasoline causes. Sending the power rearward is a three-speed automatic transmission that was also rebuilt at the same time as the engine. The car is equipped with a final drive ratio of 3.23 to allow for better highway cruising compared to the original 3.55 ratio. Altogether, this powertrain runs very well and sounds extremely mean.

Moving outward, the exterior of the vehicle is finished in a bright orange paint that shows well. The car also features matte black stripes that add a good touch of contrast. Supporting each corner of this classic muscle car are black painted steel wheels with hubcaps. wrapped around the rear wheels are meaty Nitto tires that allow for good traction. Overall, the exterior of this car is a good driver condition.

Upon entering the car, the driver will be reminded of the no frills muscle cars that these were meant to be. The car is features black vinyl seats that are in good condition. Sitting below the seats is clean black carpet. In the winter time, the driver will appreciate the heat that blows very hot. Overall, the interior is very plain, but is in good condition and accurate for what this car is.
