Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this 1973 Volkswagen Thing. The Volkswagen is a two-wheel drive, four-door, convertible, manufactured and marketed by Volkswagen from 1968 to 1983. The U.S. version was called the “Thing” while in Germany it is called a Kurierwagen, in the UK it is known as the “Trekker”, in the South America it is called the “Safari”. While it is called many things around the globe, it is unmistakably known by all VW enthusiasts & fans of the manufacturer.

This Thing is shown in a clean champagne orange paint that is a good driver’s paint job that is free from any major scratches or dings. The body is straight & true with all doors lining up correctly, open & close properly. The removeable top looks like new, and free from any tears or holes. It sits on its original VW color matched wheels with polished VW center caps that are wrapped in tires that have plenty of tread on them. The exterior lenses, bumpers, trim, & emblems are in good condition.

Looking towards the interior you will see the orange paint continues throughout. It has room to fit 4 adults comfortably with lots of leg room. The interior was recently reupholstered to ensure this car has many more years to come. Behind the rear seat is extra room for storage for a cooler down the beach or your passengers bags. Powering this cool ride down the road is the original 1776cc 4-cylinder engine to make for a fun ride along the coast. That motor is paired to a 4-speed manual transmission that shifts very smoothly giving this car a very nice driving experience. The car looks cool and you can’t find many of these on the roads today in this condition. It can be yours if you call us today! Features on this car are windshield wipers, removable soft top, vinyl interior seats.
