Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this mean 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle. Between the massive powertrain and the frame-off resto-mod, this car is a blast to drive!
Powering this beauty is a completely built up 496 CID V8 engine that features components including Compstar H-beam connecting rods, Callies steel crankshaft, SRP forged pistons, Comp Cams pro magnum roller rockers and custom ground hydraulic roller camshaft, aluminum heads, Edelbrock 35500 pro flow II 8-port EFI with 60lb injectors, FAST XFI ECU dyno tuned by Murillo Motorsports, Dual programmable electric radiator cooling fans, and a coolant expansion tank. All of these parts allowed the car to put down 450HP and 439TQ at the wheels. Making this ride sound good are shorty ceramic coated headers that lead to a dual 3-inch crossover Flow-Master exhaust. Sending that power to the 12-bolt rear Posi-trac rear end is a six-speed automatic transmission with programmable paddle shifters.
The suspension of this sweet ride has been completely tuned and set up for performance use utilizing Hotchkiss coils, sway bars, heavy-duty tie rod sleeves, and adjustable upper and lower rear trailing arms. The car also features 12-way adjustable shocks. Bringing this big muscle car to a stop are disc brakes at all four corners. Up front are dual piston Willwood calipers fitted around cross drilled, slotted and vented 12 inch rotars. The rear also features dual piston Willwood calipers and slightly larger rotors of the same spec.
The exterior is finished in a silver metallic with dual black stripes that run the length of the vehicle. The paint has some very minor imperfections, but is in good condition overall. The black vinyl top is also in good condition. Supporting each corner of this Chevelle are Bonspeed T-Rex polished aluminum wheels that are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
Moving inward, this beauty is finished with black vinyl that is in very good condition. Sitting below the black vinyl bucket seats is clean black carpet. If the sound of that big V8 ever gets to be to annoying, the driver will appreciate the Alpine receiver/CD/XM radio paired to a JL amp and 4 speakers. Keeping the cabin comfortable are functional AC/Heat. Overall this is a very nice car with a lot of work done to it to ensure proper function and exhilarating performance.
