Gateway Classic Cars is delighted to present this very desirable 1970 Ford Mustang convertible in medium blue with white top and saddle interior.
Mustangs arrived on the scene in 1964… three years ahead of the Camaro and Firebird- and by 1970, had become well-loved and dominant on the dragstrips across the United States. 1970 was the last year for the smaller first decade cars, which grew in size substantially in 1971-1973 before being replaced by the Mustang II in 1974.
The color on this car is pretty rare, really nice, and the body looks great with few tiny flaws. The convertible top is in good condition as well. Ford mags and white letter tires anchor it to earth.
This is a factory “M” code one, meaning it was born with the 351 Cleveland 4-barrel V8- a fast winding, powerful V8 preferred over the 302 and 351 Windsor options. This one runs great and is eager to defend it’s legacy. Last of the high compression motors before all makes took a hit in 1971-on.
The saddle interior is roomy and comfortable, and there is just something about these 69-70 Mustang dashboards that looks terrific and like nothing else. Power steering, power brakes, automatic transmission with floor shift as well as air conditioning make the car a breeze to drive. This is a car you can be proud to drive around, and it gets the looks! The car, and colors are both very desirable so get used to the attention.
