Check out the nice colors on this early C3! The beautiful medium green on light brown really sets off the lines of the car as well as the interior. This 'Vette is the type buyers love... front & rear chrome bumpers, convertible, factory air conditioning, 4-speed, and very correct. It includes the matching hardtop.
This beautiful Roadster was born with the base 350 300 horsepower V8 motor. The engine shows the correct matching VIN, and suffix code (CTD- which is correct for a 1970 Corvette 350/300 4-speed). Our sharp viewers will note the original air cleaner and valve covers were upgraded. The cooling system was upgraded, freeing up even more power. The base 300 horse motors- when combined with the 4-speed transmission whip up plenty of power, making it a whole lotta fun to drive. 1970 was the last year for the high compression GM motors, before the 1971-up emission regulations started robbing power slowly over time. Stomp on this puppy and listen to the Quarajet & transmission sing. You just don't get that sound from any new car. It has SOUL.
The interior is very nice in this car, and the tilt telescoping steering wheel make life much easier for tall or robust folks. The Delco AM/FM is right where the assembly line left it, and again, this is a factory air conditioned car and it also features power steering. These early C3 interiors are really cool looking. Simple, functional, vintage Chevrolet. It really feels like time travel when you sit in a car like this, as no modern vehicle even comes close.
