Its initial concept was to take the muscle car back to its basic form, a cheap car with a big motor and a quarter mile time under seconds. Which by the way the Road Runner came through on all accounts. Consequently the Road Runner outsold the heavily optioned, more expensive GTX , the back to basics idea worked. Plymouth did pay Warner Bros. $50,000 for permission to use the name and likeness of their popular cartoon character Road Runner, and even shelled out $10,000 to develop the "beep beep" horn. One walk around this Road Runner and you will quickly appreciate the condition and the care that went into this 1970 Road Runner classic muscle car. This Road Runner has a very good Plum Crazy Purple paint job to catch the onlookers eyes.
