See this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette L-71 on display in our Dallas showroom.
As documented in the original tank sticker, this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette coupe left the factory finished in Silver Pearl with a Black vinyl interior. Always owned by true enthusiasts, it was refinished early in its life as it is now in Rally Red with a Black Stinger, and was repainted in the same color once again in the early Nineties. this magnificent big block Stingray, which carries its original motor and drivetrain, now shows just 24,770 actual miles and remains in Near perfect overall condition. For many Corvette lovers this is the ultimate version of America's Sports Car, a Red big block coupe loaded with options, chief among which is the hairiest driveline ever found in a roadgoing example to that time, the car's born with 427/435 HP Tri Power V-8, Muncie M21 close ratio 4-speed and a flexible 3.70 Positraction rear end to take full advantage of the 427's incredible torque. Transistorized ignition, power steering and 4-wheel power disc brakes fill out the mechanical side of the ledger, and original factory bolt-on finned aluminum wheels, Redline tires and factory side exhaust add to the car's visceral visual appeal. Also equipped with headrests, Teakwood steering wheel on a tilt column, Soft Ray tinted glass, AM/FM radio and power windows, this well-equipped mid-year classic's documentation includes the original warranty books. This Corvette is powered by a numbers matching L71 427 big block with 435 horsepower! The L71 gave you 11.1 compression, a high lift solid lifter camshaft and three two barrel carburetors. This engine had the highest horsepower rating you could order in 1967 and remained the highest available until the Z06 debuted in 2006. There were other engines options that were more powerful like the infamous L-88, but that was for the most part a store bought race car and was rated at 430 horsepower to try and deter the unaware as they were nasty machines that needed a lot of careful attention behind the wheel. With the L-71 rated at 435 and less expensive than the L-88, that was the box to check. This is a must have that is optioned very well! This will make for one proud owner! What could be better than a high compression, solid lifter Big Block with a 4-speed and side pipes!
