For sale in our Dallas showroom is a restored 1986 GMC Caballero. If you are looking for a four-eyed El Camino, the GMC Caballero makes a great alternative. This one in particular is a fine example, having undergone a nearly full restoration. From paint and body to the interior this GMC is ready to roll. The frame was media blasted and coated with Eastwood Chassis black paint. The suspension bushings were replaced with polyurethane units front and rear, new shock absorbers were installed and the ball joints were replaced. The steering box was replaced with a Jeep Grand Cherokee quick ratio steering box, a new center link was installed as were new tire rod ends. On the body, new polyurethane body mounts, new paint, and new door hinge pins. The interior was redone with a new ABS dash cover, carpet, new power window motors, new window sweeps, and door seals. The dash pad and the door panels were dyed to match the original color. Cosmetics weren’t the only things taken care of. The engine was completely replaced with a new crate engine straight from GM. A 350 CID with 260 Horsepower, topped with a new Edelbrock carburetor, with new headers and a new dual exhaust. The entire vehicle is in great condition and ready to go.
